Trump: “There Will Be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE” Between Israel and Iran

United States ruler, Donald Trump, who recently bombed nuclear facilities in Iran, claims that “there will be a complete and total ceasefire” between Israel and Iran, who have been warring for twelve days.  Trump made the comments on his Truth Social platform.

“It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!), for 12 hours, at which point the War will be considered, ENDED!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

“Officially, Iran will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 12th Hour, Israel will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 24th Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World. During each CEASEFIRE, the other side will remain PEACEFUL and RESPECTFUL,” he added. “On the assumption that everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both Countries, Israel and Iran, on having the Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end, what should be called, ‘THE 12 DAY WAR,’” Trump wrote.

Open war between Israel and Iran broke out on June 13, when the IDF launched strikes on military and nuclear facilities across Iran and carried out assassinations of senior Iranian commanders and nuclear scientists. On June 22, US B-2 bombers and Tomahawk missiles struck three Iranian nuclear sites, including uranium enrichment facilities in Natanz and Fordow. The following day, Iran responded by firing missiles at the US Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

Trump: “A Spectacular Military Success”; Iran’s Nuclear Facilities Have Been “Completely & Totally Obliterated”

Trump’s rhetoric comes across as strange, considering Israel warned its public to take shelter after detecting missile launches from Iran early Tuesday. The launches came after 4 a.m. local time in Tehran, the time Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Iran would stop its attacks if Israel ended their airstrikes.

Iran has also fired upon U.S. military bases in the Middle East in retaliation for Trump’s strikes. A Qatari military officer said Iran fired 19 missiles at the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, and one impacted the facility but caused no casualties. The number of missiles differed from a figure given by Trump, who said 14 missiles were fired, 13 were knocked down and one was “set free.”
