As Trump Did With Greenland And Panama, He Doubles Down On Seizing Gaza

United States President Donald Trump has doubled down on “buying and owning” the Gaza Strip, which he called a “big real estate site.” He made similar comments after saying the U.S. should own Greenland and the Panama Canal and take them by force if necessary.

Trump Will Not “Rule Out” Military Action To Take Greenland By Force

Trump has reiterated his plans to take control of Gaza, saying he intends to enlist other Middle Eastern countries to help rebuild it. Speaking to reporters on board Air Force One on Sunday, Trump called the enclave a “big real estate site,” which needs to be “reclaimed, leveled out, fixed up” for future development. “I’m committed to buying and owning Gaza… We’re going to bring stability to the… totally war-torn part of the Middle East. And we’ll own it,” Trump told reporters on Sunday. He doubled down on his idea to relocate Palestinians from the enclave, claiming that it would be done for their own good, according to a report by RT.

Panama has already decided to involve the United Nations over Trump’s threat to seize control of the Panama Canal, and Greenland responded to his threat of a takeover by saying the Arctic nation does not want to be a part of the U.S.

Leaders of the terrorist organization Hamas have already declared that Palestinians would fight the U.S. if it decided to use military force to take Gaza.

“People can’t live in those buildings right now, they’re unsafe… But we’re going to take care of the Palestinians. We’re going to make sure they live beautifully and in harmony and in peace,” he stated, insisting that Palestinians would leave Gaza if they had a choice.

“They don’t want to return to Gaza… the only reason they’re talking about returning to Gaza is they don’t have an alternative. When they have an alternative, they don’t want to return to Gaza,” Trump claimed. When asked how he would persuade neighboring Arab nations to take in Palestinians, he claimed they would be “enthusiastic” to do it after speaking with him without elaborating further. He noted that he planned to let “other states in the Middle East to build sections” of Gaza once the site is cleared for development.
