“Fire Country” star Diane Farr has left Los Angeles after 30 years.
The 56-year-old actress took to Instagram to share snippets from her “Last Day in LA,” noting she has lived in the city for “exactly 30 years” and that “more importantly- I chose LA.”
“I wasn’t born here, I didn’t go to school here – I just had a chance for representation as an actor and I moved out of NYC the summer I was 26,” she wrote. “I came like most of the people I love in Hollywoodland – none of which I saw this week bc moving sucks.”
She went on to say that she came to Los Angeles “chasing a dream that I am still shocked worked out.”

Farr’s acting career began in the ’90s, with the actress landing her breakthrough role in “Roswell” in 1999. She later earned leading roles in “Numb3rs,” “Splitting Up Together” and, most recently, “Fire Country.”
In addition to her acting career, Farr also reflected on the many other positive experiences she had while living in Los Angeles, including starting a family.
“I also got to raise babies in the sun and the mountains and enjoy this beautiful home and attend public schools ??” she said. “Pinch me I’m overwhelmed by the blessings and hope, really hope I gave enough back. LA will always be where my family is from.”
Farr shares three children with her ex-husband, Seung Yong Chung: son Beckett, 18, and twin daughters Coco and Sawyer, 17.
The video showed snippets of her final day in the city, including shots of her saying goodbye to her home and her motorcycle, driving away in a 15′ truck and photos of memories in the home.
She explained she has gone through many “phases” in the home and is now entering her “third act,” in which she “settles into whatever it is I’m supposed to be…as a one,” hinting it could include “a couple of countries I never saw myself in.”
“We are just taking a hiatus now – a word I learned here – so we are letting the house go,” she concluded her caption. “But god damn this was harder than I thought. To leave this house. To leave this dream, even if it is realized – and to leave home. Thank you #cityofangels.”
Many fans took to the comments section to wish the actress good luck in the next chapter of her life, with one writing, “Good luck and safe travels as you start the next book in your series of life.”
