Smith & Wesson is continually updating their line of pistols and rifles and the latest in that evolution is the new Performance Center M&P9 Carry Comp Series pistols. Check out the details on the latest S&W carry options below.
The new Carry Comp pistols come in full-size, compact, and micro-compact packages. They’re chambered in 9mm and capacities vary by model. The Shield Plus, which has a 4 inch barrel, ships with 10-round, 13-round and 15-round magazines letting you pick which size mag works best for your carry style.
The M&P 2.0 4.22-inch barrel models are offered in metal and polymer frame configurations, come in a 15-round or 17-round capacity depending on your frame-size of choice, and are trusted platforms for any training or personal defense application.
The M&P9 Carry Comp Series features the Power Port integral compensator that diverts gas upwards to reduce felt recoil and improve control. They have optics-ready slides with S&W’s new ClearSight™ Cut which is designed to divert gasses away from the optic allowing the user to maintain an unobstructed view. They don’t slack on the irons either though as they’re equipped with a tritium front night sight and blacked-out serrated rear sight.
The M&P9 Carry Comp slides have a new look that’s functional as well as aesthetic too. They have aggressively angled front and rear serrations to improve manipulation. The new Carry Comp models all have flat-face triggers, grey Armornite© finished slides, and and with a Performance Center Cleaning Kit. MSRP on the Carry Comps is $649 for the SHIELD Plus, $799 for the M&P 2.0 Compact, and $999 for the M&P 2.0 Metal.
